Human Rights: Authority Of Majority

Human Rights: Authority Of Majority
Human rights are consensus human reached to protect themselves. They are universal and well acknowledged, because only by that can the concept of human rights work out. What I mean "work out" is to make the world a better place.
The recognization of human rights usually dose good to majority. When it comes to minority, they are sometimes ignored by "human rights". For instance, the Declaration of human rights state that" every person should have bore free and equal." but people who born with a high class family name according to the caste system in India, they believe they are in higher status than "pariah status" of which people are born to do some dirty and tough work generation by generation. The higher class definitely feel violated, because the declaration says "all human are born equal". But no matter how irritated they are, the caste system is alway considered wrong, simply because they are minorities and do not have the power to make much difference to the whole world.
Somehow, the declaration of human rights is well acknowledged because they are too general to put most of people in a same majority. Because the more details it has, the more conflicts and disagreements will appear; every one will has his or her own human rights which might violate some other people. All in all, the declaration of human rights, to a certain extent, is subjectively acknowledged by majority. In essence, the definition of human rights are general and it cannot be particularized.

  1. I think the absolute equality does not exist in this world. Nothing can be agreed by everyone. As a result, people created a method that the minority should obey the majority, however, the truth sometimes are held in the hands of the minority. This is a conflict. It's very difficult to change this situation.

  2. I think the world could not be totally equal,so the law cannot be made for every individual. There are always some disputes about how "pool" people carry out their human rights. There is still a long way to go.

  3. I think the real human rights should care about everyone. Since it is called "human" rights, it should be about every humanbeing.
In this way can human rights bebefit people.

  4. It is true that human rights should cover all the human beings, but the fact is not like that. I think nowadays the human rights are just like bread for hungry people. Everyone struggles to get it, but it is not enough for everyone to have. So the human rights is just for the majority.

  5. You have raised some interesting ideas. They are better expressed if you take time to proofread your entry before publishing it.

  6. As you mentioned in the passage, human right is defined by whole human being. As people share different background with others, especially when they come from different culture, the defination of human right hardly reaches consensus.
