Different times make different generations. One day, I watched a TV show of a famous cross talk performer Zhou Libo. He talked about the preference of pose of different generations when taking photos. The 1960s generation prefer to stand straight like a soldier when they are taking photos. The 1970s generation prefer to cross their arms before chest. That pose means confidence. The 80s generation like to make the gesture of “V”, which means victory. As for people (mostly teens) from the 90s, they are fond of blowing their mouth to make the face plump, because autodyne(taking photos of oneself) is popular, and having plump face is a way to be cute.
I think it is really an interesting but typical description. The delicate preference of pose shows characteristics of different generations as well as the development of the World, especially China. During the 1960s, the economy of China is still stagnating and China is not very open to the world. People born during that time are still much conserved. As time goes on, China becomes more and more open, the same goes for people’s mind. The trend in western countries began to influence the preference of the Chinese. So people want to show their characteristics such as confidence and victory. In modern times, science is rapidly developing and technology is rapidly updating. The Internet connects the world and modern products have been used to take photos. Girls want to show themselves to others on the Internet, so they take photos by themselves and make them cuter to attract more people.
The world never stops developing, so the preference of people will keep on changing. What things will be in 10 years? No one can predict. But the world will be better and better!
Wow~An outstanding title! Yeah, our preferences may change soon in the future~By the way, I like ZhouLibo, haha~

ReplyDeleteNowadays, the old fashion comes back, like sneakers. I hope the former world can come back too, because we can have less pollution and less poison food.
ReplyDeleteYou are clearly an optimist!
ReplyDeleteThe observation you shared, which you learnt from Zhou Libo is a very interesting one. I felt that your reflection is quite apt too.
