English, suitable for International language
Do
you think that Chinese will become the international language in the future,
because of the large number of population or other reasons? In my opinion,
English is more suitable than others as an international language. More than
many countries speak English; the other reason is that it is neither the most
beautiful one, nor the most rigorous one.
Human
languages have most developed now, and people can use them flexibly in any
parts of their life. In general, languages are developing to two extremes. One
is beauty. For example, Chinese is one of the most beautiful languages in the
world. Chinese poetry is famous for beauty—it is meaningful. On the other hand,
the disadvantage of Chinese is that it is ambiguous. The other one is rigor.
For example, the international laws are written in French, because French is
one of the most rigorous languages in the world. It is hard to find a different
meaning of the article. On contract, the disadvantage of French is that it has
many grammar rules.
Therefore, one of the reasons why people
choose English to be the international language is that, it is neither too
beautiful nor too rigorous. People will not feel hard to express laws in
English. They can also use it conveniently without many rules. In my view,
English is most suitable to be the international language, and it will not
change in the future.

I agree that Chinese language is a very beautiful one. It is a pity that many Singaporean children do not see it that way these days.
