Extinction or Evolution

Every species experienced a hard period. Only small number of mutated animals could survive, and they became new species, replacing the old ones. Other species died out, becoming extinct species.
The difference between extinct species and evolving species is variation; the evolving species changed and adapted themselves to the hard environment, but most extinct species never change.
However, not all variation is good for animals; some variation will make animals weaker. In the history of evolution, many mutated species also die out. Although variation is dangerous, it is the only way to survive from some hard period, such as ice age.
Although we do not need to care about evolution, we still can learn a lesson from extinction and evolvement. Today, many people do not want change the situation they are familiar with; though they feel bored about the invariable life, they think they are safe in the familiar situation even the situation gets worse. However, profits always stay with risks. People, who are brave to make changes or even to lose their wealth, have more chances to earn more money. It is good for people care less about their wealth, when they have already cannot give up their wealth. Letting the wealth become the obstacle on development is not a right choice.
Making a change is not an easy thing; people do not want to give up what they already have and are afraid of what they might lose. Therefore, we need to force ourselves to get the courage of sacrificing our comfortable situation. Otherwise, we can never get advancement.

  1. I think some of your thoughts are philosophical. No wonder you said you could express what you were thinking in class. Extinction or evolution, it is a question; it mainly depends on the environment.

  2. I like the sentence that Profits always stay with risks. Just like the constant is the change, we humans should accept the changing situation and adapt to it.

  3. I am still puzzle about whether sacrificing our environment is the change you expect. I think evolution is a long term work. We are slowly and gradually evolving. Protecting the environment may also be a kind of evolution.

    1. .... I do not expect sacrifice our environment. I even do not expect to evolve. Evolution is the last way for species to protect themselves, and it will be a hard time . If our environment is good, we do not need to evolve.

  4. I do not want to think over that thing. It is so hard to say what is right and what is wrong. I think I will leave it to the professional people. Actually, I think we should leave things where they should be.

  5. I agree with you to some degree; as far as I am concerned, however, evolution is more important. Yes, we need to protect useful animals from dying out, but we also should let some “weak animals” die out.

  6. Your thoughts are very special. You make a connection between human beings and animals. I still remember the idea you told me that we should let extinct species die because of the theory of evolution. Some species did not make a change to adjust to the new environment, so they deserved to die. Human beings are the same as animals. We should change ourselves and be adventurous even though we may take a risk.
