Today we learned that the colours we like can reflect our personality to some degree. I am curious about the connection between colour and personality. The article in our supplementary material, however, does not discuss enough colours, and some common colours we like are not included. Now I want to introduce how pink and orange reflect our personality.
First, pink represents happiness, sweetness and loveliness. People who choose pink as favourite colour are peaceful, kind and optimistic. Girls who like pink are usually romantic and they desire for sweet love and perfect marriage. They often have a youthful appearance and look younger than they really are. They like to protect and take care of others and offer warmth and softness. They are sensitive to the feelings of others, and they always see the good side of people and things. Their deepest need is to be accepted and loved unconditionally. On the other hand, such people are sometimes immersed in fantasy and they do not take practical action. They are dependent and like to rely on others. Second, orange represents energy, adventure and curiosity. People who like orange are hyperactive and energetic. They like talking in front of many people and they can create a cheerful atmosphere, so they enjoy socialising and like attending parties or planning social events. Besides, they are competitive and they never surrender. They have the desire to dominate others, but they are good at solving problems and being a leader. Once they have made a decision, they will stick it out. These people are also adventurers, so they love outdoor activities and extreme sports. They always look for challenges and take risks in many fields. Lovers of orange, however, usually lack patience and they do not like to be criticized or judged by others. They may be not good at housekeeping, and sometimes they might be egotistical, self-centred and unpredictable.
In my opinion, colour does reflect our personality in a way. It is interesting to find out the connection between them, and during this process, we can know more about ourselves. Everyone has his or her favourite colour and unique personality. I do not know whether this method is suitable for most people, but I think it is a good try.
Yes, I have done many personality test about my favorite color, and I believe that color can reflect our personalities. I agree with you. By the way, my favorite color are baby blue and golden yellow.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. I think all this kind of tests is not very exact. In my opinion, these things are for most people. My teacher ever told me that many things are a percentage for many people, but they are 100 percentage to a certain people. Therefore, I hope that we all can regart them correctly and our personalities and moods are not affected by the words.

ReplyDeleteI guess the connection between colours and personalities must be based on a lot of statistical studies, but I still can't find a near perfect connection. For example, I like orange better than pink but I don't seem to have the personality you described above.
