Different person, different view

Today, my classmates and I described each other’s personality traits. I felt surprised that I did not agree some of their description about me. I have found that when people judge another person, it is usually different from his/her personal feeling. There maybe two reasons for this situation.
The first reason is that the person you see is the one he/she pretends to be. Some people do not want to show the real part of themselves in front of people. They hide some of their personalities, and few people know about that. Last year, many Korean actresses chose to commit suicide. Their friends and many fans felt surprised because they used to be optimistic and enthusiastic especially when they face the public. Their sadness and pessimistic personalities were not exposed to the public but they did exist.
Another factor is that people do not understand themselves well. Their view towards themselves is subjective and usually they only see a few aspects. Some of their views are affected by their certain personalities. I used to be pessimistic, and I felt that I was lack of merit. I kept in a low mood until one of my friends reminded me of my independence. As one of my personalities, pessimism made me fail to know myself better.
People often hide some of their personalities and have inaccurate understanding of themselves. That is probably why people find different views when they talk about each other’s personalities.

  2. You look like very quiet, but I do not think you are a pessimistic person. I think you may talk a lot to your close friend, right? It does not matter what others describe us. How we see ourselves is more important. Being happy every day and not caring about too much may help you become more optimistic.

  3. Many people wear mask when facing others, and it is hard to take it off. Maybe we are familiar with it and use it to protect ourselves. And after a long time, even the one who put on the mask does not know that he or she is wearing a mask.

  4. I think discussing each others' personality is interesting, because we can kown what do we look like in others' eyes. Pretenting, in my opinion, is also a kind of personality, but of course, showing our nature is better.

  5. From your article, I think it is better to know how others looking at me. And the shortcoming they told is much useful. I like the people who tells my weakness and bad habits directly. I also try to be that kind of person. Using my heart to give others advice is a responsiable behavior.

    1. Yes I agree. Sometimes, however, we do not need to care more about others. Just be ourselves

  8. I am so surprised to find out that your blog is sooooo similar to mine. People always wear masks when they communicate with each other. So I think it will be better if everyone just uncover the mask.

  9. I cannot agree with you more. It is difficult for me to find my "buddy" in my life. But do not be dispirited. Just uncover your mask to someont you trust, you can find your "buddy".
