Science and technology are developing at a high pace in recent years. Almost every day, scientists can invent a new medicine and experts can come up with new treatments to certain diseases. Some researches show that there are many weird science facts about human body that you will be amazed to know.
The first thing that you will be surprised to know is that more than half of the household dust consists of human skin, which seems unbelievable. It is because human skin renews quickly; the old skin falls off the body, and then becomes dust. The second amazing fact is that the nerve impulses that run to and from the brain can travel as fast as 170 miles per hour. No wonder the human brain is considered as the most intelligent machine, because it functions fast and has a swift response. Another astonishing thing is about the acid in the stomach. Experts indicate that the acid present in the stomach for digestion of food is so concentrated that it can dissolve a razor blade. You can imagine how sour the acid is. The last weird fact I want to introduce is that eyes of a person remain of the same size since birth, but the nose and ears never stop growing. Maybe that is why some small children’s eyes look big and shinny.
Apart from these weird facts, there are many more. Reading such science journals keeps people informed of latest discoveries about human body. Science keeps advancing every day and there will be more amazing discoveries in the future.
What you said is really amazing. I still cannot completely believe it after reading your blog. It is true that science gives us many amazing discoveries every day. I think scientists are a little boring because they always find out some tings which are not so important...
ReplyDeleteHaha, interesting points.
DeleteI do not know why some of the words are black. I tried to change it , but failed. Sorry about that~~~
ReplyDeleteThe black word which cannot be changed is also a strange thing. Ha ha.
ReplyDeleteI did not know the eyes cannot grow. I thought that my eyes become smaller before reading your blog. I think human is the most mysterious thing in the world.
It is really a pity that our eyes cannot grow as we growing up. My mother always play a joke on me that my eyes are too small, so what I can comfort myself may be I once had big eyes when I was young.
ReplyDeleteI also feel sad about my eyes. When I was very young, I only can open one eye, so that my two eyes are in different size. I thought that when I grew up, this situation may be change. Until now, however, I am still in this situation, but I like this thing.
ReplyDeleteEveryone is unique~~
DeleteTo have a never-ending quest for new knowledge is a great attitude to have and I see that in you.
