Music creates a
world for musicians. Words create a world for writers. Colors create a world
for painters. It seems that we forget something-poem. Delicate rhythm, meaningful
sentences and romantic imagination create a unique world for poets. Poets
compose poems, and also their own spiritual world.
Xu Zhimo is famous for his romantic love
poems. In his poems, he used tender tone and slight voice to tell moving love
stories. When reading his poems, I sank into his sweet and dreamlike love
world. Xu Zhimo’s world is a romantic world. There was another famous poet Tagore,
who was also a philosopher. His poems usually contain his own understandings of
religions and philosophy. He used the nature, and simple objects to state his
ideas. When reading his poems, I am deeply impressed by the mysterious world
created by those poems. Tagore’s world is a philosophic world. Another poet Shelley,
expressed positive thoughts and his beautiful ideals in his poetry world. He
expressed his emotions thought the nature scenery, showed positive thinking and
described the ideal world in his imagination. When reading his poems, I am
cheered up by his optimistic thoughts and the booming future. Shelley’s world
is an ideal future world.
Poets wrote those poems based on their own
thoughts, emotions or experiences, so poems can reflect some personal characters
of poets to some degree. Poems are different artistic world created by
different poets with different emotions. One poem is one world.

I think the poem is just a tool for people to express their emotions, so different people may have different ideas. I have another idea that it is better to know the poets before reading their poems. I think it is helpful and we can get a better understanding of the poems.

ReplyDeleteReading poems is like reading poets'life. Each poem contains different meaning. We can see various worlds from these poems, sad or happy, losing or getting. The words in the poems can be copy by others, but the emotion in the poems cannot be imitated. The world is belongs to people who have had the certain experience.
